While twice as many PCBs as anticipated have been removed from the 40-mile stretch dredged in the project, the 315 mile-long river still holds the largest concentration of EPA-designated Superfund sites. Two years after the $2 billion dollar project by GE ended the Hudson River still retains toxic levels of PCBs to wildlife and humans.
Call your regional EPA representatives and tell them that everyone has the right for access to clean water!
