EPA Expands Scope of Hudson River Cleanup Analysis

January 29 – (Insider NJ) – The EPA stated yesterday it will collect and evaluate more samples of sediment and water from the lower Hudson River, as well as evaluate some 1,800 samples collected by NYSDEC during 2017. The decision comes just days after EPA’s decision to postpone signing off on GE’s certificate of completion on the company’s cleanup of the Hudson River which lasted six years and cost GE roughly $1.7 billion.
